Hello All,

A short post as today President Zelensky publicly released (part) of his victory plan. To be specific, he released five points of the plan, but also made it clear that there were three more secret annexes. The plan had been trialled around for a while, but this is the first time its points have been confirmed by the President publicly—which is worthy of note.

Now, in some ways it is the straightforwardness and lack of extreme “asks” in Zelensky’s plan that is most important. He is not asking for anything special that is not on offer for every other democratic European state. He wants defense guarantees, economic deals and cooperative arrangements that are the norm for Europe. Indeed, it could be argued that he is being restrained in some of his asks.
