Why would I write that WSJ article?
Because not being a MAGA Populist doesn't keep you from making disastrous choices
Hello All,
I’ve changed direction this week on the midweek substack. I had started writing the second installation of Ukrainian strategy making going forward (complete with historical comparisons to the First and Second World War—its going to be too long again). However, I also had a piece come out in the Wall Street Journal this morning and the feedback that has come in has been rather intense. Its the first time I’ve had an op-ed in the WSJ, entitled Does Biden Want Ukraine to Win? Now I don’t have control over the headlines of my articles—however in this case I was more than happy with it—as it did a good job of summing up one of the main points of the piece.
I certainly wasn’t expecting quite the amount of feedback Ive received. It might be the first time a large group of WSJ readers has ever seen some of my writing. On the other hand a great deal of the response has come from a dynamic that might not normally be fanatical readers of the WSJ—and that are a large group of undoubtedly passionate supporters of the Biden Administration. I thought therefore I would take those criticisms head on in this piece and talk a little more about the article as well.
First off—the article itself. Here is a link that seems to get you a complimentary copy. I don’t know for how long that will be the case, so if you want to read it—I would take a look now.
