Hello All,

I should have another op/ed released in the Wall Street Journal relatively soon. Ive gone through the proofs and they say it could be up as early as today. This one will not be a surprise to the subscribers of this substack, as it built on the draft that I originally put in this substack. You may have noticed that I took the draft down….

The piece will criticize the Biden Administration’s policy of forbidding Ukraine from firing US-made weapons into Russia. This btw, remains an administration policy as was de facto confirmed yesterday.

The piece was written because its been shown that the Biden Administration can change its mind on questions like this. In a way that might not be fully understood—articles like this which are critical are also expressions of hope. Because we have evidence of change and have seen the administration change in the past two years on issues such as F-16s, ATACMS and attacks into Crimea. All of these decisions took far too long and caused significant misery, but in the end the administration made the right call.

This is fundamentally different from anything a Trump administration would do towards Ukraine.
