Well, for those of you who have not yet seen the news today, the Ukrainians last night seem to have hit and sunk another very valuable Russian warship. The ship which was hit is (or more appropriately was) the Caesar Kunikov, a Ropucha class landing vessel. The Ukrainians even released a video which reportedly showed a sea drone attack on a Russian vessel. And yes, the vessel looks very much like a Ropucha Class.

This is of course depending on the Ukrainian claim being correct. It should be noted, however, that when it comes to claims about hitting large Russian warships, the Ukrainians have been almost always accurate.

This is the third Ropucha Class vessel sunk or put out of action in the last seven months. In August 2023, the Olenegorski Gornjak was hit by at least one sea drone and heavily damaged.
