The Cross Dnipro Operation and What it says about the Counteroffensive

Ukraine continues to try and create a weak point in the line: the counteroffensive as a process.

The last few days have brought some interesting developments that reveal that the Ukrainians are continuing to do something in particular, which is to create a weak spot in the Russian line.

Maybe the most interesting was the cross Dnipro operation (unlike others, Im not calling it a raid as we dont know if the aim is to set up a permanent crossing point yet—see below). Stories started coming out about this a few days ago—and worth noting the information first emerged from Russian telegram sources, not Ukrainian. That matters to me, as the Ukrainians usually are very quiet about operations that really matter to them.
