We are collapsing faster than the British Empire. At least for the Brits it took two European wars.

We exchange the nuclear red line for a Strait that was open before the war began, only now there are ‘environmental fees’?

I can’t see how this can be spun as anything other than defeat and I can’t understand how Hegseth still has a job. But that’s just me…..

What an insult to Ukraine that Orange Caligula is handing Putin the gift of watching us keel over.

Our allies should make their own plans…..

I'm not sure if the rest of the world is in as bad a shape as it might have been in January 2026. The D7+ will be working on China and the US to steady some of the rocky bits. What the US does is of limited importance in Ukraine, Lebanon and Iran. China can simply be reminded that the D7+ is spending large amounts of treasure to fight Russia through Ukraine. Then ask them the question: Why would it make sense for China's many customers to disperse more treasure to China to increase support for Russia? The D7+ is paying twice to fight itself. It is a question honestly posed that no one seems to have thought of to focus China's thought process. If the D7+ can attach this question to each purchase of EVs, batteries, ships, and steel and instill the assertion that every dollar that goes to China today can be gradually moved to a member of the D7+. No ultimatums, flash, speeches, just a reminder and purposeful movement. The D7+ is already doing this to the US defence industry and we will get better at it over time. Hegemonic power is only maintained by those who submit to the hegemons. If we refuse to submit, the hegemons collapse into any other large economy participating in the global order.

D7+ by Anders Fogh Rasmussen. Add India, Indonesia, Philippines, and Brazil for the plus.
