Trump is already cozying up to China and Threatening Europe

There are foolish hopes, there are profound delusions, and then there were those claiming that Trump would be (as he claimed so earnestly) tough on China. Trump’s tough on China rhetoric has been a long-con for a while, which many people refused to see through not because there was no evidence, but because they did not want to admit the truth.

Trump has long expressed his love of President Xi and has recently added to this with a disdain for Taiwan. Last November I tried to warn people about his true stance towards China.

On the other hand, when it comes to Taiwan, Trump has become increasingly critical of this successful democracy that wants to be a firm US ally. In July he spoke harshly about the Taiwanese taking US jobs and not giving the US anything, and argued that the Taiwanese should start paying the US if they wanted to be defended.
